Comments: In a world where the meaning of hero is degraded and left marred by the perversions of our society, it challenges those few hearts still searching for a cause to live by when a man loses all for the sake of all. This time, this nation, and most men have forgotten what true love really is. Thank God Cpl. Warns was man enough to love.

"There is no greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

I'm so, so, sorry for your hurts and pains, and I'm sorry these few words can do so little in comforting you.

In Prayer,

Brad

Comments: This video really tounched my heart. As an active duty member (female) who has served over 22 years of faithful service to our country, sometimes I feel that I have not given enough. When I see that one of my fellow servicemen have paid the ultimate price for our country with thier life, it makes me want to give even more. As insane as it may sound(and I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend) I'd rather be serving my country in Iraq than doing the job I do daily where no one gives a care. Sometimes daily life is a war and we reap no rewards because we forget the true reason we're here. Life goes on and who really cared until the ultimate happens. If we could all take a minute and love our love one's especially those who serve in harms way because tomorrow is not promised. I applaude you for sharing your son/friend's story with us and my heart felt sympathies and prayers are with you. Be strong and know that Bobby is in deed serving in a higher service, "Heaven" and for a great Commander, "Jesus".

I have alot alot...of friends in the marines and my boys from 1/3 just got back from iraq....not all of them came back and i lost a few friends but i will always remember the bigger picture of what they did, they let us have freedom and you cant help but have so much respect for them. I have come to learn alot since they have got back and when i watched that video it seriously brought tears to my eyes because nobody should ever have to go through stuff like that, these marines are doing what they love! I have decided with alot alot of thought but this video has honestly made my mind up...that i want to join the marine core..its so awesome that video in the way of look what he did and look how he left this world...so perfect with everyones respect leaving the world knowing that he helped it become a safer place..when his kids grow up they wont have to be scard to get on a plane or they dont have to be scard of getting draffed to the military ( which my parents are in) but they will live free because of there father and i think that is the best gift he could have gave to them is freedom. but im going to rap this up and say thank you bobbywarn...may you rest in peace.

Comments: In viewing this video on our fallen Brother Bobby, I realize how important it is to give your all everyday that you are placed on this Earth. God recruits as well as the Marine Corps. He needs the true warriors to guard Heaven gates, and Bobby was one of those that was chosen. We may never know why we lose the ones we love but we know it was for the greatest cause. A selfless cause to protect others. Bobby did this. He put himslef before others and paid the ultimate sacrifice. Because of him others will be taught life lessons and the chain will be passed for generations to come. So today I say thank you to his family, friends, and the Lord for taking the best he can get.

Even though I did not hang out with him on weekends or date him, he was a guy I enjoyed being around and even now knowing he is gone touches my heart because he was a guy who was very personable and smart. He was popular and someone you just wanted to get to know, outgoing and had a lot of friends. Comments: My name is Jeff and I'm the machingegun section leader for Golf co. We had just got back yesterday and I finaly had a chance to go to Bobbys website, it wasn't a easy thing to do. I'm glad to see by all the websites and such things that Bobby wasn't forgotten. On behalf of the machinegunners of 2/24 Bobby, Branden, and Ryan will never leave our minds. I guess the biggest question we have is what can we do. Some of us, me included were worried that you wouldn't want to hear from us because it would bring up memories or resent. After reading the website I was glad to hear that you wanted to talk. Bobby was my right hand man, I appointed him my 1st squad leader and when I wasn't present he was in charge of our 24 man machinegun section. Bobby and I lived together under a bridge where we patroled out of. We actualy shared the same rack. We didn't get a lot of sleep and either Bobby or myself would have to be awake at all times so in order to save on gear we had to carry we shared the same sleeping bag. I wish I knew what to say. I wrote several times as did many of the marines in the platoon not many got mailed I feel. Perhaps now that they see its alright to talk, more of them will have the courage. I have some video and pictures of our days there that may interest you and I would like for you to have. I'm also curious to make sure Bobby recieved all of his personal belongings, I had to box them up and sometimes our gear was spread between three or four differen't locations. I 'll end this hoping to someday hear from you, I pray for Bobby several times a day and will never forget him. I understand if you don't want to talk to me as long as you understand that we loved Bobby like a brother and any of us would've traded places with him. Sincerely,

Since arriving on the base, I often think of Bobby.. I see Bobby everytime I pass a Marine on base here... Thank you Bobby for your service, and thank you to all of our men and women serving around the globe.. God bless...

I want to thank him for all of my freedoms that we all take for granted each and every day. I appreciate his efforts to protect our safety. I applaud him for his bravery and sacrafices. I pray his daughter will inherit his strength and dedication to standing up for what he believed in. Your entire family will be in my prayers from this day forward. Please know that he was always a hero to someone. As a baby and a small boy, he was a hero to his parents in every one of his milestones that he reached. As a young adult, he was a hero to every life he touched. As an adult he was a hero to his family, his wife, his friends and the Marines. When he passed away, he became an American hero. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Warns, for giving us your son. He will be honored and remembered forever.

After viewing the movie, I read some of the comments people have left. Bobby's death has had a huge impact on the world, and I am proud just to be from the same area as this man. I can only imagine how proud your family must be, and how lucky Bobby's daughter is to grow up knowing her father had this amazing impact on so many people. I viewed CPL Bobby Warns touching, & heart wrenching video at a church service while training in Jolon, CA at Fort Hunter Liggett. I have never been moved as such before, by anything I have ever witnessed in my life as I was of Bobby's passing. I thank you for agreeing to do such a thing, and I am sure every member and family of those in the Armed forces thank you for sharing your loss of a loved one. I then thought of all the families of fallen soldiers who are feeling the same painful emotions you have went through. Even though I never knew Bobby I weeped like he was my closest friend and was honored to have witness something so moving. I have always respected the honor and professinalism Marines always exemplify each time I visit a Corp base.

May the peace of Christ always be with you. Semper Fi! America loves you Bobby...

Comments: I hope everything is getting a little better for you and your family. I posted a message a while back and had the honor of getting an e-mail back from you Mrs. Warns(Mother). On September 29, 2004 I lost my mother to leukemia. Satain through everything he had at her body, yet still it could not break her everlasting love for Christ. I could not believe how much she worried about us kids more than herself. I got to spend the last 3 months of her life with her pretty much every day. I made sure of it. Three days before she went home to be with the Lord, I was on vacation and my sister called me and told me that my Mom had gone into a comma. I drove home that night and the day that we arrived back, I was by her bedside the whole day. At about 8:00pm that night the doctor came in to give her some medication to calm her and not more that 10 minutes later she was gone. I held my hand on her heart and got to feel her very last heart beat on this earth. And on the last beat she opened her eyes and looked directly into my eyes. And the only thing that I could think of saying to her was "I Love You"! This was the first big loss in our family that was so close to home. I still to this day could not imagine what it would be like to give the Lord one of my own. Two weeks before she died I told her about your son and about the video that I got from a friend. I told her to "Say Hi to Bobby for me"! And she laughed and said "Ok...No Problem"! I hope and pray that one day soon we will all be together in heaven. No more pain..tears..sickness..or most of all..heartache. To this day I am missing my Mom more than ever, if I ever meet you in person one day Mrs. Warns on this earth, I hope you dont mind if I call you "Mom" because I know my Mom is heaven giving you son the biggest hug ever and welcoming him home for eternity. Tell his wife that I'm praying for her and her daughter.

Thank You!

Comments: The Plan of the Master Weaver

Our lives are but fine weavings

That God and we prepare,

Each life becomes a fabric planned

And fashioned in his care . . .

We may not always see just how

The weavings intertwine,

But we must trust the Master's hand

And follow His design,

For he can view the pattern

Upon the upper side,

While we must look from underneath

And trust in Him to guide.

Sometimes a strand of sorrow

Is added to His plan,

And though it's difficult for us,

We still must understand

That it's He who flies the shuttle,

It's He who knows what's best,

So we must weave in patience

And leave to Him the rest . . .

Not till the loom is silent

And the shuttles cease to fly

Shall God unroll the canvas

And explain the reason why

The dark threads are as needed

In the Weaver's skillful hand

As the threads of gold and silver

In the pattern He has planned.

Comments: I am deeply sorry for your loss. Your "Keepsake" video was referenced by one of my friends, and I couldn't help but cry as soon as I heard the open eulogies, especially when the reference "Bobby was a Daddy" came up.

My dad was a USAF veteran of 27 years, and had been through many conflicts as I was growing up. To him, it was just his job. But to me, and most of the rest of this country, he was a hero. Bobby was a hero, and will always be remembered as such. I'm sure Bobby only thought of what he was doing as being his "job" as well. That show of selflessness will undoubtedly reserve a seat for him in Heaven. His service to not only this country, but the betterment of the world, will never be forgotten.

I hold you and your family in my prayers, as God will hold your hand through your journey in life.

I know Bobby would be happy to hear the news that it's a girl. I trust that she will grow up a fine young lady, to make her daddy proud.

My heart is with you, and may your life with your new baby girl be fulfilled, knowing Bobby lives on through the both of you.

Comments: I've been moved by this magnificent tribute since I first saw it months ago. I continue to be deeply moved, but now I view it in conjunction with with The Ethics and Public Policy Center's Video Tribute to Iraq's Voters. This stirring piece places Bobby's profound sacrifice---and yours---in a context that I hope is of some comfort to you.

Bobby gave his life for freedom: mine, his family's, the people of Iraq's and now perhaps for the hundreds of thousands of people who demonstrated to be free today in the streets of Beirut.

One life can and does make a difference. Bobby's continues to make a difference.

That's why he remains in our prayerful intentions. We pray for you, too.

Comments: Dear Warns family,

my heart broke in disbelief when i heard the news. I spent 4 years attending classes with Bob at C.M.H. I knew bob as a kind hearted person who would go out of his way to cheer u up when you were having a bad day. Bob also tried to help you if u needed it, no matter who you were. Yes,Bob is a hero for the country, but Bob was a hero before he was a Marine, he was a hero for just being himself. I feel honored to have had the privelage to know such a wonerful, thoughtful person. You are in my heart and prayes always

Comments: What a wonderful tribut for a wonderful man. Our son in law is in the Marines, in IRAQ right now, and we pray for him everyday. We are proud of these young men who are willing to fight for what is right and honorable. We are sorry he had to go now, but knowing Marines, we are sure he is smiling at the way the family has handled this. He died a man of honor, courage, and obviously, a man well loved.

thanks too for posting Peyton's picture...she's going to be a doll....

Everyone should realize that these soldiers are in fact a big part of peoples lives. They are fathers, mothers, husbands, brothers, wives, sisters, grandparents, you name it. They are each loved back home. Again, I am sorry for your loss. I will be praying for your family and the families of all the soldiers! I also want you to know that God has blessed you with a child. Count your blessings not your losses. Thank God in the bad times as well as the good. God does everything for his will! You are in his will!

In Robert's case, he has departed but not without leaving a little piece of himself through Payton. That new baby girl will bring Robert back to you. She will be a ray of sunshine that will bring many good things. She will be very proud of her father!

We would like to send lots of love to your family and wish that the baby girl be born in good health, with 10 fingers and 10 toes and everything else in its place! One thing for certain, she will be in my prayers for a happy life with wonderful people to care for her.

Comments: I hope this will make sense to you.

I was a preemie and almost did not make it.

At two months old I was allowed to go home for the first time in my life. But when we got there it was to find that my father had ran away from home and responsibility.

For many years I looked and searched every mans face I saw, hoping that with just a look he would know I was his daughter and we would live happily ever after. But that didn't happen.

I felt so unworthy of love because God had given my father a miracle and he didn't want it. How could anyone love me if he couldn't. I was afraid of storms and would wish so hard for a daddy to comfort me and protect me from them.

There were times that I yearned so desperatly to know what it felt like to say daddy I love you, that a cry would get caught up in my throat.

For many years I felt so small.

Then one night watching the news with the soldiers in Iraq and the tenseness in their faces. One of the soldiers looked straight into the camera and when he did it was into my eyes. It hit me with so much emotion that I laughed and cried. I may not have had a father that loved me before, but I had many fathers in Iraq who cared and valued me more than himself.

I am loved ,protected and valued . I know how it feels to say daddy I love you. I said it to the tv and prayed it went to someone who needed a touch of comfort.

Thank you for the value and gift you have given .

Sincerly

M.J.S.

Im sorry for loss-but know that he gives others a reason to fight for what we believe in. Thank you for sharing your loss with us...it is not going unnoticed.

I feel for the loss of your loved Marine, son, brother and husband. My sincere condolences.

I am not ashamed to admit that while watching the video tribute to Bobby I teared more than once. It brings back many memories, both pleasant and sad of my active duty time.

Your family should feel proud of not only Bobby, but of yourselves, for the honor and grace you have displayed. Having been an active duty Marine for 20 years, I was taught and instilled in my subordinates that the Marine Corps is a family and Band of Brothers. You are all a part of this family. During your deepest time of sorrow and need you stood tall.

Comments: Wow. I am speechless after viewing this video. I have never even known your son until viewing this video, and this has touched me in so many ways. I was in tears viewing the video for the first time, and as I review it again and again, I shed even more tears. This is one of the best tributes I have seen for a fallen Marine. I have no children as I am only 18, but I cannot imagine how hard it was for you and your family to go through this difficult time. My respect keeps growing for the men and women in service each time I see these types of videos. There are people still over there fighting the same war your son did, and I cannot express in words my gratitude of these military people and how much they do for us. This is truly an amazing memoriam to your son. I wish I could muster the courage to do what your son did in his short lifetime. I could spend my entire lifetime trying to accomplish and never be able to do what he did in the short time he was on Earth. My condolences to your family, and may God keep an eye of you, your family and relatives, and especially Bobby. Bobby, I can be sure you are reading this, so thank you for fighting what we take for granted. I cannot express how grateful I am that you defended our country and gave the ultimate sacrifice for what you believed in. I wish I could do what you do, as you became a role model for me. Thanks for inspiring me, God Bless.

To all the soldiers still out there fighting for us, and for those who have died, THANK YOU!

Comments: Dear Warns Family,

I met your wonderful son Robert. I work at a facility that trained the 2/24 before they left for Iraq. For they 9 days his was with us. Robert, (as I knew him) hung around my wardrobe office and I got the opportunity to spent around 15 hours a day with him and a few of the other guys. I remember, or spoke with 8 of the 12 Marines that have lost their lives in Iraq but Robert was special. I knew him as an artist that I admired. I remember his freckles and although quiet at first, his personality quickly came to the surface as a sweet, good natured, funny guy. He always needed something to draw on, something to read or something to look through. He was constantly getting into stuff. I remember his smile. All the men as a whole from the 2/24 are the best I have ever met in my life. When I heard of Robert's death, I left work. It was only 9 days that I spent with these men, but I quickly came to care about them very much. Tears flow freely these days and without warning but I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me finally attend Robert's funeral. I pray for Payton and her mother and for all of you. May God bless and be with you always.

Sincerely,

Comments: When you wake up in the morning, the first thing that comes to mind for most people is themselves, not others. Bobby is definitly not like most people. From the video, you can see that he is exceptional, putting his country before his life, fighting for the United States of America. I am terribly sorry for your lose. I'm sure you are sad for his lose but you are very lucky to have had a son who was so hard to say goodbye to. Though I am in grade school, I can see that Bobby spent his life well, becoming one of our country's heros. His beautiful baby girl, I'm sure will follow in his footsteps. When his daughter asks you where her Daddy is, you can truthfully say that he has gone to live with the angels. In heaven.

All the luck and love in world,

Dear Marie,

Today has been an exceptional day for me. As I get ready to attend a shower for my new grand-daughter, I have been blessed with wonderful and heart warming messages from some very special young people. You are one of them. I can see how great a guy he was and I want to let you know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I'm only 12 years old and in 7th grade, but this video has really, really touched me. I'll never forget what sacrifice your son made for our country. I know you all have a guardian angel watching over you now. Bobby. He wouldnt want you to be sad, because he is still with you. Thank you for showing me what it REALLY means to be a hero.

My dear Laura,

You said that Bobby was special to you, well you have become very special to me, Bobby's mom. Your expression of your emotions is so far beyond your years. I literally gasped when I realized that you were only 12! Many people have told us that Bobby makes them proud to be Americans. YOU make me proud to be an American.

We are so blessed to have Bobby as our guardian angel! We know he is still with us. He lets us know almost everyday - in the music of a wind chime, the songs of the birds, a beautiful sunset.

God Bless you for being you. You've touched my soul today:)
